About us

We are a young Czech company founded in November 2017. The idea behind establishing the company was to use our rich experience in the process of manufacturing fire doors. We have created our own type of a fire damper ensuring natural ventilation in the walls of buildings.

It was followed by a long development process with several fire resistance tests of the product structure. Our efforts resulted in a certified product that complies with applicable legislation and requirements related to the fire protection of buildings.

We specialize in the manufacture and sale of our own design of passive fire protection elements – fireproof ventilation grilles.

The design of our fireproof ventilation grilles is classified as a fire damper and is suitable for placement in all civil, public and industrial buildings. Fire protection of all types of our fireproof ventilation grilles is tested according to the latest valid testing standards in the state-authorized testing laboratory Pavus, a.s.

The certificate for all types of fireproof ventilation grilles was issued by the Technical and Test Institute for Construction Prague, SOE.

Product description

The complete product consists of two basic parts. The first part consists of a doublesided LKS-type ventilation grille, preventing the spread of fire. This grille is installed in the fire-rated partition wall in a pre-prepared mounting hole. The second part of the product consists of two pieces of exposed LKL-type covers of the mounting hole, intended for decorative covering of the mounting hole from both sides of the fire-rated partition wall. The method of installation of the LKS-type product and the LKL-type product complies with the manufacturer’s installation instructions.

The LKS-type fireproof grilles provide permanent air inlet and outlet in rigid and light vertical building structures without connecting adjacent ventilation ducts. Horizontal intumescent plates expand in the event of a fire. The expansion closes the LKS-type ventilation grille and prevents the spread of fire and toxic gases.

The LKS-type grille is not classified as smokeproof.
The fire resistance values according to ČSN 73 0810 are declared as E90/EI15-EI90/EW90 for all types of fireproof ventilation grilles.

The LKL-type covers are offered in a light grey as standard. The LKL-type covers can be painted with RAL colours on request.

Material used

The LKS-type and LKL-type products contain an intumescent foam tape, a thermal insulation board based on Vermiculite and inorganic binders, galvanized steel and perforated sheet metal. The materials are processed in accordance with local regulations. The products do not contain any hazardous or unhealthy materials.

WALL-MOUNTED LKS FIRE VENTILATION GRILLE

  • Designed for installation in light prefabricated structures (plasterboard) and for brick and concrete construction partitions
  • Made of class A1 reaction to fire materials according to ČSN EN 13501-1 +A1 and intumescent tapes
  • Depending on the grille type, certified for installation in the wall UP TO A HEIGHT OF 3m above the theoretical floor level
  • Fire resistance class EI/EW 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90
  • Fire resistance tested according to the valid ČSN EN 1364-5
  • LKS grille finish in black
  • A certified part of the delivery of the LKS-type fire grille is a painted double-sided metal cover grille LKL 60/45

For natural ventilation of fire-rated partition walls without adjacent ventilation ducts. In the event of a fire, it prevents the spread of flame to another fire section of the building.

Horizontal intumescent plates are an active component of the grille and they expand when exposed to heat and thus close the space inside the grille frame. Fire damages the grille and it has to be replaced with a new product in the wall.

It is installed in all types of civil, public and industrial buildings. It is designed to ensure permanent ventilation of fire dividing vertical internal walls. It is designed to be placed in light prefabricated structures (plasterboard), in brick and concrete walls

If multiple grilles are installed in the wall next to or above each other, it is necessary to keep a distance of at least 100 mm between them. Frame-to-frame installation is not permitted.

The spacing of at least 100 mm must be observed mainly due to the use of the double-sided LKL-type covers of the mounting hole. The LKL covers exceed the perimeter of the installed intumescent LKS grille by 40 mm.

The LKL-type covers are installed on both sides of the fire-rated partition wall. There are holes in the corners of the LKL cover and fasteners included for wall mounting. The LKL-type covers serve as a decorative cover for the installed LKS-type fire ventilation grilles. There is a label with marked fire resistance of the product on the covers.
